Jack's Story

After a monthlong hospital stay, Jack began treatment at Origami Rehabilitation for the injuries he sustained from a 15-foot fall. He was eager to return to the things that meant the most to him: family, friends, faith, football, and their farm. Origami gave Jack the tools to recover through inpatient and outpatient services, and now he’s back to the things he loves.

Sharing Jack’s story was an important component to Origami’s record-setting 2022 fundraising event emceed by Michigan State University men’s basketball coach Tom Izzo. With more than 300 guests in the room, they were also able to add a dozen more donors to their giving society—a powerful component in the development strategy. These donations will help fund rehabilitation services and improve the lives of people just like Jack.

Your expertise and knowledge of our mission is a big part of the reason for the great outcomes you are able to create. I hope you know how much we appreciate you and enjoy working with you on these important, mission-changing projects! How you were able to create the magic you did so quickly is astonishing!!

Antonio's Story

In August 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Antonio had a stroke while at work. The resulting paralysis affected his right arm and leg, his memory, and his ability to communicate. Antonio and his wife found Origami in their search for better treatment during his recovery. The team at Origami worked with Antonio to create a plan, including setting a very important short-term goal: walking down the aisle for his cousin’s wedding.
